The subproject investigates the emergence of ecologically sustainable innovation regimes in Germany and the United Kingdom, in particular addressing the country-specific strategies for decarbonizing the economy.

By combining the comparative capitalisms and innovation systems frameworks, the subproject provides a key contribution to the the overall project consortium that addresses an international comparative analysis of decarbonization pathways in economy and polity.
